S7Ep08: The Lindsay Clancy Case

I give the Christian take on forces that prompted Lindsay to kill her children.

Welcome, welcome, welcome everyone. I'm your host, Jermaine Farrell. And as always, we use the 95 edition of the Bible. We're on all the podcast platforms, Apple, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, iArt, you name it, we're on it. Today's episode is season seven, episode number eight, entitled The Lindsay Clancy Case. Okay, so we're gonna go on the premise that she didn't make up things for her defense. I'm gonna go by what we heard in the case. My take is based on the information put out there as evidence. Unless she made everything up, we're gonna assume that what she's saying is evidence. Uh and my take is based off that. Alright? So let's get into it. Okay, so for those who haven't heard, Lindsay murdered her three children by strangling them with an exercise ban and then attempted suicide by jumping out of a two-story window. She is now paralyzed from the waist down. The defense, which is her, claims that she was under a condition called postpartum psychosis. Now I watched the entire trial, so I'm going to offer you the Christian perspective. Lindsay's defense. Okay? The main point in this case is that Lindsay heard a male voice tell her to murder her children and that if she ignored the command, that neither her or her children would be safe. Now the chaplain at Women's Hospital claims she said afterwards, I'm glad my children are safe now. I guess she was inferring that they're in heaven. Now, at first I was like, Yeah, man, she's got to be possessed. A mother killing her kids, right? Uh usually psychosis victims or a party of being taken over by a sinister spirit. But then I measure what I know versus what the evidence said. And then I reversed my initial assessment. She said that a male voice commanded her. Now, with possession, the spirit usually takes over the body, the victim's body, and then just does evil deeds. There is no need for a voice or command from another party. The unclean spirit uses the victim like a puppet, and then that victim is basically left watching the spirit wreak havoc. Uh instead, this appears to be a child sacrifice situation here. The same kind that the book of Leviticus talks about with the demon Moloch. Let me just read you this from Leviticus real quick. Leviticus 18 21. You shall not give any of your offspring to offer them to Moloch, nor shall you profane the name of your God, I am the Lord. And again, in Leviticus 202 through three, it says, You shall also say to the sons of Israel, any man from the sons of Israel or from the aliens sojourning to Israel who gives any of his offspring to Moloch shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. So obviously, back then in Leviticus, they already had a problem with people trying to sacrifice their children to the demon Molech. They were killing their kids based off the command of the demon. And here we are again, so many thousands of years later, same type of thing going on right now. Except in this case, it appears that the unclean spirit baited Lindsay in sacrificing all three of her children. And in my study of demonology, this is led me to believe that the voice she heard was overbearing. Now, how do we know this? Well, everywhere in the Bible, whenever an angel will show up or speak to someone, the human will be in great fear. The first thing the angel would say is, have no fear. The celestial beings have this brooding presence that can't be understated. And in fact, the broody parents, the brooding presence can be overbearing. Their presence alone can be enough to make us feel overwhelmed. I believe that Lindsay, when she says that a male voice gave her a command, and I also believe that that command was so powerful that she ran and did the act fearing that her children would go to hell. She didn't. Now, what's confusing about all this is that she attempted to commit suicide. She attempted suicide right after this, after she killed her children. Um, Catholics believe that suicide is a mortal sin that will automatically condemn you to hell. Uh, which by the way is not true, but that's what Catholics believe. And is that not biblical? So she's a Catholic. So if she was successful with her suicide attempt, according to her beliefs, she would have believed that she would have ended up in hell. My guess is that she was in a Judas moment where she was overcome with guilt and remorse over what she did and was willing to end herself, believing that she was headed uh to Hades. Unfortunately, the demon got what it wanted, regardless. The children are dead, but fortunately for them, they're in heaven. But the demon coerces her to take them out of this world, which is what demons are known to do. Ergo, the Leviticus verse. Now, why did this happen to her? Is the question. Well, she was an easy target. I keep telling everyone that the Catholic religion can put people in a position where they're susceptible to becoming targets of demons. Not only does that religion tell you, uh does that follow the Bible directly, but it leads people to idol worship and it places emphasis on works via sacraments. And it still positions people to have to go through a priest procedure similar to that of Leviticus, instead of promoting a direct direct connection to the Father. Basically, a relationship with Jesus based on faith. It's just not on the menu at the base of being a Catholic. I should know I was one. Um that isn't to say that a Catholic person can't have a relationship with Jesus, it's just that uh dire Catholics are pushed to not have one. The Catholic religion pushes you to have a works-based religion instead of a faith-based religion. We operate, supposed to operate by justification, by faith alone, not by works. And unfortunately for Lindsay, she made herself a target. And we know that Satan automatically is at odds by with women by default. Go back to chapter 3 of Genesis, chapters two and three of Genesis. Anyway, that's just my take on this. Based on the information that I currently have, it appears as if she sacrificed her children based on the command of an unclean spirit, probably mullet. Um, and now here she is, uh saddled to a wheelchair, probably for the rest of her life, and her kids are not in this world anymore. I have to add this one last little thing in there. Had Lindsay Clancy been living according to the Spirit, by living by the Holy Spirit, chance of her committing this act would have been none. That's the benefit of having a relationship with Jesus.
