Welcome, welcome everyone. I'm your host Jermaine Farrell and welcome to another Christian Capsules podcast. Excuse me. As always, I use the NSB95 edition of the Bible and we're on all podcast platforms, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Amazon, Spotify, and iHeart. This is season 7, episode 4, entitled God's Time. So let's get into it. First, a quick update on where I am with uh certain projects. The Unclean Spirit Book 3 is in development. There's no break being taken. I'm just jumping right into it. Um, the outline actually is being prepared as we speak. So I'm just going moving full step ahead with the final book of the Unclean Spirit series. So we get we get to look forward to that coming soon. So I wasn't gonna do another episode so soon, but I had a dream last night that I should address this issue ASAP. So here we are. Too many things that we as Christians are doing that infringe upon God's time. And it's hurting us, it's hurting our blessings, and it's being disrespectful of our God. As we are now in the end, or the last days rather, it is more imperative that we focus more on God than using his time to monkey around. I'll give you some examples we want to talk about. Some of the purpose of going to church, Bible studies, or learning groups is to learn more about God and what he desires for us. This training, you're not going to get anywhere else in your life. Hence why you're there. And for the record, I'm not I'm not talking about kids. This is for the teens and up, not children. Anyway, so why are we having game nights when we're there to learn about God? Do they have game days or nights at Harvard Medical School? We didn't have game days or nights at Liberty School or Divinity when I was there. The point is that you're there to learn and not to abuse the time of the institution instructed to teach you. In a time where God is getting ready to send people to hell, the last thing we need is abuse of God's time. This is not funny games. I never write where Jesus was like, you know what, guys, forget what I got to say today. Forget the Sermon on the Mount. Let's just all go boating in the Sea of Galilee instead. Thousands of people traveled dozens of miles to hear Jesus teach the word. So much so that they had no food and Jesus had to do a miracle just to feed them because they were so intent on learning what he had to say. There's no room for entertainment. That's on your time, not God's. Too many lives are at stake. Ezra, the priest, you teach for hours out of the Torah to those willing to listen. No games. Paul the Apostle taught an all-liner sermon that was so long that a boy filed the window and died. Paul even resurrected him and then kept on going. There is no entertainment or distracting events when God's time is on tap. So why do we feel like we need that today? At church, we complain if a sermon is over 30 to 40 minutes long. What the heck? Do we want to actually even hear from God? Who cares how long it takes? It's God's time. Don't we at least owe him our respect and even more our life? Look, all I'm saying is whenever you're doing an activity that's God related, such as prayer, D group, Bible study, church on Sundays, those are all in God's time. The delegated to teach our foolish selves on how to live in these last days on earth. Lives are at stake. This isn't the 80s where we had time to screw around. We're in the fourth quarter. We need to stop trying to get our Bible study or our D group to screw around. In an era where most Christians can't even name the first seven books of the New Testament, or even recite four verses, or even better yet, understand what Eve's fall was really about. I think we all need all the time we could get to learn as much as possible. We need to be wise with the time that the Lord has given us. And that means we need to have a more focus on teaching how God can help us now, which is far more beneficial than what only eternal life will bring. We all understand that heaven will be great and we'll be with God when we die. But did you know that even now, while you're alive, the Holy Spirit can destroy your anxiety and deal handily with your depression? Or maybe you didn't know that walking in a relationship with God now gives your life meaning and it thoughts away thoughts of suicide. How about maybe you didn't know that because the Father gives us our daily bread, physical and spiritual, the stress of daily life is then reduced to a minimum. And that in turn keeps your heart and mind healthy. You see, a proper use of God's time will yield respect for God and what he desires to teach us, and understanding of what a relationship can do for us now, not just when we die and enter eternal life.
