S7E01: I'm Back & Fear

This episode talks about the new Unclean Spirit book #2, Christian Capsules upcoming book and the in-production Children's Book. Lastly, I introduce the new "Word of the Episode" which for this episode is fear.

Welcome to Christian Capsules. I'm your host Jermaine Farrell. Here we use the NESB 95 edition, unless otherwise noted. We talk about a man of all things when that um when I regulated to a one particular thing that we talk about. So anything's on the table that I bring up for each episode. Forgive me, I'm getting over something, so my throat's a little scratchy. Further ado, let's get into it. I do want to talk about first thing. Oh, we did release um a new book, and it's called Unclean Spirit is book number two, and it's called Unclean Spirit, the Tune of Wrath. Unclean Spirit, the Tune of Wrath. This is book two and the Unclean series. The plan is to have a three book series. But it will still flow into the series. And you can get the new book at Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, wherever books are sold, you can get it at. So please go to Amazon, go to Barnes and Noble, go wherever, and just get Unclean Spirit. You might as well get them both, books one and two. Alright. Now, oh and let me let me say this about the the books too. In case there's anybody wondering, I normally write nonfiction, but I I felt that I needed to write I've always wanted to write um fiction. And for these books, Unclean Spirit, I tried to put as much Christianity inside uh the story. Um so that way you're getting taught while you're getting entertained. And there's little little things, it's not lessons, and I'm not preaching in the book, it's it's not things that are like, oh yeah, why did he do that in an entertainment book? No, no. It's not it's not that it's not that I'm I'm preachy, but I put little nods to things and little truths in there that flow with the story that that is meant to go along with the story, but I've corrected some wrong things that other books or even Hollywood has uh has pushed upon us. Like for example, I'll give you an example as far as exorcisms about crucifixes and holy water, things like that. You won't see that as a means to cast out demons in my series because that's not how it's done, that's not what works, and those are fake and it doesn't work. So that little things like that, or might allude to how it doesn't work by somebody else saying something. Either way, those kind of little things like that are in the book to kind of bring you in entertainment, but you're getting it on a truth basis, based on what the Bible says about things. Alright. Remember, I did one Christian capsule book and then I went straight into the novels. Now I'm going back to produce another Christian capsule book, um, because it's been it's been too long since I've come out with a second one. I love doing the Christian capsule books because they the little bite-sized teachings in each chapter. Each chapter is like a bite-sized teaching. Kind of kind of similar to what we do here on the podcast, but more in depth. You get to learn a lot more within each chapter than I could do here on the podcast. So it's it's a physical way, a tangible way, tangible way you can have uh teachings that are expounded upon what we do here. Next thing, I have a children's book that I'm working on, which is in the works right now, and it's the children's book on the story of Noah. The script is almost done, and when I get down the script, then we'll get into I'll get into the uh illustrations and stuff like that. But that is coming up soon. So be on the lookout for the children's book on Noah, the proper story of Noah, not a few elephants riding a boat and everybody here lives happy ever after. This is yes, it's a kid's story, but it's gonna be based on truth. Now, for since I'm coming back to start doing these Christian capsules, I want to uh I want to put in something new called the word of the episode. And today we're gonna go with the word fear. Fear is crippling, right? Even as a Christian, if you're afraid of something, anything, it can it it can cripple you mentally, emotionally, and physically. When you're worried about something, or you're you're scared of something coming down, or you're scared of something in your face, or you're scared of something that you're currently in, it has a way of paralyzing you. So you can't do it. You're so worried that you can't even do anything, you can't get anything done because you're just so paralyzed or racked with fear that you can't think of anything else that you want to do. You can't focus on anything, you're just trapped. You're you're trapped in a in a cage of your own making. Fear has you thinking about tomorrow, what's gonna happen the day after tomorrow, a week from tomorrow. It's got you thinking about today, it's got you wondering what the repercussions of things are, and it just puts you in an emotional tailspin and it wears you out. It emotionally wears you out. That's why God doesn't want us to have fear. Jesus is the press Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He brings peace. Not a type of peace where we're thinking about world peace. With the peace that Jesus brings is a personal peace, a peace of mind, a peace of knowing that the God of the universe has our backs and He He's not out to get us, and He's always looking out for the best of us. That doesn't always mean that things are going to go our way, but it means that the God knows what's good for us. And he doesn't want us to have fear, he wants to have the peace of mind on knowing that whatever you're facing, that whatever you're going through, whatever's coming down, that he's got you, and you don't have to solely rest on so much fear. You can relinquish that fear and focus on the task ahead. Go focus on today and don't worry about tomorrow because you don't even know what tomorrow will bring. I've seen so many miracles that God has done, not knowing what tomorrow will bring, and then we approach the tomorrow, and then things can go at all remotely what I thought they were gonna go. Consequences don't come the way you think they're gonna come. And I'm I'm not trying to say that there's not a right to have some sort of worry about some things. It's only human nature to have some sort of fear or worry of some things. But the minute that they come to you, we have to go back to what we know. Has God ever let us down before? The answer is always going to be no. So we need to say, okay, let me rest on that. I may not know what God's got planned for me in the future, but I do know I can trust him and have faith in him because guess what? He's never let me down before, he's he's proven himself um over and over and over and again. Uh, what is it was to say in scripture? Uh Timothy, 2 Timothy 1, chapter 1, verse 7. It says, for God has not given us a spirit of timity, right, which means fear, but of power and love and of discipline. So basically, we God didn't give us a spirit, the Holy Spirit inside of us, it's not based off in fear, but it has but it's powerful, and it's love, it is discipline, and part of that discipline is training ourselves to rely on the Lord so we don't have fear, and also that power of the spirit is supernaturally reminding us and caring for us where our fear can't do that for us. So I I figure today would be a good day to bring up the word fear because a lot of things that's going on in society that that's got a lot of people worried about things. And I'm I'm here to say to you, don't worry so much about things that you cannot control. The Lord has got it, the Lord has never let us down before. He he takes care of the people that he loves. All good things work out for those who love and serve the Lord who will call according to his purpose. Ain't that Romans 8.28? Isn't that us? Fear the fear will destroy you. And God knows that. That's why he always tells us not to fear. How many times does Moses tell the Israelites not to fear? Fear will kill you. It will ultimately kill you. It would it would trap you in a bubble, it would depress you, and for some people they take their own lives off of fear. So that's the word of the episode. Don't get caught up in fear, don't get caught up in fear. Let the Prince of Peace, who the who surpasses all understanding, take care of you and do what he's always been doing, looking out for you. Now, to wrap this episode up, I just want to say I'm sorry that I've been gone for so long. Um I was writing these books, and you have no idea how draining and hard it is to write books. I have other circumstances going on. Um, it's just it's a lot. It was a lot going on, and I'm trying to get out a book at the same time. And I'd never written novels before, so that was new for me to write two novels. So but it was just a lot. People who've written books before, you know what I'm talking about. Just the amount of discipline it takes to focus is off the charts. And to make everything, all these storylines and everything add up.
